Taiwan and Florida trade has experienced significant growth over the past decade; bilateral trade between them has grown 42.2% over the past five years, and by 34.8% in the past 10 years. According to Dun & Bradstreet, there are 28 Taiwanese-owned companies with 37 branch locations in Florida, spanning industries including logistics, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and electronics.

In 2019, Taiwan was Florida’s 33rd largest bilateral merchandise trading partner, with total merchandise trade between them hitting $1.1 billion. Florida exports to Taiwan were $236.3 million in 2019, making it Florida’s 47th largest merchandise export market. Imports from Taiwan to Florida were $909.0 million in 2019, making it Florida’s 22nd largest source for merchandise imports. Leading commodities traded between Taiwan and Florida include aircraft, vaccines, copper waste and scrap, motor vehicles, yachts, medical and surgical instruments, screws and bolts.
