Company will also retain 473 positions and make $1.8 million capital investment
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (October 27, 2015) —Today, Enterprise Florida President and CEO, Bill Johnson, announced that Zimmer Biomet is expanding in Palm Beach Gardens by creating 178 jobs in addition to retaining 473 positions. The company will also make a $1.8 million capital investment in the community.
Medical device manufacturers Zimmer and Biomet recently completed combining their two brands into one company. Zimmer Biomet collaborates with healthcare professionals around the globe to design, manufacture and market orthopedic reconstructive, dental and surgical products. They have operations in more than 25 countries around the world and sells products in more than 100 countries.
David Josza, Vice President and General Manager of Zimmer Biomet’s Dental Division, said, “We are proud to join the Governor in announcing our plans to continue growing in Florida by welcoming 178 new Floridians to the Zimmer-Biomet team. The project was made possible through strong partnerships between Enterprise Florida, the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, CareerSource Florida, Palm Beach County, City of Palm Beach, and the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County.
